I have one of these 5150 computers and have concluded that the problem is not a bad a/c supply as I got another one to test the computer and also have another
battery in it also. So now I am left with the proposition of making the repair to the motherboard or replacing it through one of the places advertising to do
that on ebay etc.
What are my odds of ending up with a working computer? Am I wasting my time with this or what? I see no posts after about late 2007 so wondering if anyone...

So here's the scoop. Customer brings a 5150 that has the infamous shutdown problem.
